Our professional work

Whilst we seek to employ qualified and non qualified education specialists many of our tutors and ex students, both qualified and non qualified teachers, work in the commercial music industry as well as teaching.

Tutors work for Learn to Rock on an invite only basis and we only select tutors who are proven excellent performers and/ or the leading Music and Performing Arts educationalists.

Alex Hill: Drum Tutor

We have a great new Drum and Percussion tutor starting with us at Learn to Rock.

Alex Hill will be working in the Bradford and Ilkley areas from September.

Alex is a first class Drum tutor but is also a freelance composer working with some big names for Television advertising.

Here is some information about Alex:

Alex started drumming at the age of 11 and was soon gigging and touring with the UK the hit 60’s band ‘The Bachelors’.

Alex has performed in front of thousands in venues all over the country.

Currently Alex is working with upcoming singer/ songwriter Shauna Mackin and as part of this work he is getting regular air play with the BBC and performing regularly in gigs around Manchester. For more info and videos see: www.shaunamackin.com

As well as being a session drummer, Alex is also a professional composer. He has been composing and producing tracks for TV/Film and Media since gaining his Masters Degree in Music in 2012.

Alex has completed some high profile composition work for some big name companies including: Nike, Adidas, Jaguar, The RSPB and many more.
